Who we are

Monetta is provided by ALLYGENIX PTY LTD., Unit 805, 1 Boolee Street, Reid, ACT 2612, Australia. Contact us at monetta@allygenix.com for support or privacy requests.

Your records and device permissions

Your budgets, entries and drafts are stored on your device. If you enable private iCloud sync, Apple stores a copy in your private iCloud account. We do not have access to that private database. Bank connections, advertising identifiers and advertising tracking are not used.

Microphone, speech recognition, camera, photos and Screen Time permissions are requested only for the features you choose. Speech recognition runs on the device when supported; otherwise you can type. Monetta does not upload your audio. Screen Time selections and pause reasons stay on the device.

AI is your choice

With your permission, the text or receipt image you submit, together with language, currency, time zone and reference date, is sent to our Google Cloud service and Google Vertex AI for that request. An image may contain personal details, so avoid submitting information you do not want processed. AI results are editable drafts: check amounts, currencies and dates before saving.

Our service processes input and drafts in memory and does not save your financial text, images or drafts in its database or application logs. Google processes the request under its own service terms. Supported models may use temporary caching, including memory caching for up to 24 hours. Google may retain flagged prompts for abuse investigation for up to 90 days and permit authorized human review. We do not promise zero retention by Google. Turning AI off stops future AI use; it does not undo earlier processing.

Essential service records and optional statistics

To authenticate requests, prevent abuse, enforce quotas and verify Plus, we keep installation and request identifiers, security keys, request status, usage and cost counters, and limited subscription information. We do not receive your payment card or bank details from Apple. Technical logs contain service stages, error codes, status and duration, rather than financial content.

Usage statistics are optional and off until you agree. They contain a random analytics identifier, limited feature events, day, language and app version, never your amounts, notes, images or Screen Time choices. You can withdraw and request deletion in Settings. Anonymous totals cannot be linked back to you.

How long information stays

Local records stay until you delete them. Private iCloud copies are managed separately in Settings. Installation, security and request records normally expire after 90 days; installation activity can refresh its period. Quota and cost records expire after 120 days. Subscription records expire 90 days after the subscription ends; revocation and consent records have 90-day periods. Optional raw statistics expire after 30 days and anonymous daily totals after 90 days. Expiry cleanup is asynchronous.

Google retention is described above. Website hosts and email providers keep technical or correspondence records under their own policies. We keep support messages as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations.

Providers and international processing

We use Apple for iCloud and purchases, Google Cloud for the AI service, Cloudflare for this website, and email providers for messages you send. AI processing is configured in Europe; service operations, website delivery and support may involve other countries. We use providers to supply and secure the service, not to sell your data or build advertising profiles.

This website has no advertising or optional analytics scripts and sets no application cookies. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, browser and request information for delivery and security. When you email us, we receive the sender address, message and any attachments you choose to send.

Your choices and requests

Use Settings to turn AI or statistics off, delete optional raw statistics, delete local data, or delete the private iCloud copy separately. Stop sync on other devices before deleting a cloud copy to avoid re-upload. Deleting data does not cancel an Apple subscription.

For access, correction, deletion or a privacy complaint, email monetta@allygenix.com. Do not send a full ledger or receipt unless needed. We may ask for enough information to locate a service record and protect it from unauthorized requests. Your rights may include restriction, objection and a complaint to your local privacy authority, including the Australian OAIC. Necessary security or legal records and unlinked anonymous totals may remain.

Updates

We will update this page if our practices change. The date above identifies the current policy. Monetta is a general-purpose budgeting app and is not directed to children under 13.
